Janitorial Workers and Laborers/Light Industrial, Salem Area

Galt Foundation is currently recruiting for janitorial workers and laborers/light industrial workers for the Salem area.

 

Requirements for janitorial staff include recent janitorial experience with skill in the following areas:

·         Vacuuming

·         Mopping

·         Emptying recycling and garbage

·         Cleaning restrooms

Must pass criminal history check.

 

Requirements for labor/light industrial staff include the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.  Jobs in this area can include moving furniture, packing/unpacking boxes, hanging items on walls, grounds keeping, working in a kitchen (no food prep) to light carpentry.  Flexibility in accepting job assignment/duties is encouraged and preferred.  Criminal history check will be completed.

Developmental Disabilities Specialist, Salem

Title: Developmental Disabilities Specialist

Reports to: Executive Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary: ½ time position $25,000 - $30,000 DOQ + partial healthcare/retirement benefits

 

The Association of Oregon Community Mental Health Programs (AOCMHP) in Salem, Oregon is seeking a Developmental Disabilities Specialist to provide assistance to the Executive Director. Must have knowledge and demonstrated experience in developmental disabilities policy development, developmental disabilities system analysis, relationship building, and excellent communications skills.  Preference will be given to those who have experience with the County operated developmental disabilities services system, sub-contracted provider system, and brokerages. Experience with self-advocates a plus. Accounting Tech III - Temporary Full-Time Assignment, Salem

 

Accountant needed for temporary full-time assignment; position pays $15.50/hr.

Job duties include:

* Completing timely accurate audits, verifications and coding of moderately complex financial obligations to include verifying large volumes of invoices to be paid; claims include, but are not limited to, purchase orders, contract release orders and all Department telephone invoices
* Enter payments and adjustments into database, which requires an advanced knowledge of the accounting system and accounting principles
* Independently, using courtesy and tact, correspond with vendors and officers to resolve payment discrepancies and claim disputes
* Assist in accurately updating an automated database to track agency telephones, cellular phones and pagers.
* Special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager; including, but not limited to, research on various subjects, compilation of data for financial statements and retrieving phone records for management review

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access
* Ability to clearly communicate policies and procedures to customers
* Ability to reconcile Accounts Payable invoices to ensure duplicate payments are not made to a vendor

Employment Services Director

 

Partnerships in Community Living, Inc. (PCL) is a large, nonprofit organization devoted to building partnerships with people with developmental disabilities, their families, our communities, and our employees.  Prospective candidates will show an understanding of the basic principles of dignity and respect for all people, while promoting the work of PCL concerning social justice for people with developmental disabilities.

 

PCL is looking for a creative and energetic person to help lead, manage, and develop its cutting edge Employment Services Department.  PCL is sharpening its focus on inclusive Community Employment for adults with developmental disabilities, embracing Person Centered practices, and developing sustained, mutually beneficial relationships with business and government.

 

The Employment Director is a department level manager and is responsible for maintaining all documentation and the operational integrity of PCL’s Employment Services Department.  The qualified candidate will:

 

  • Possess a history of collaborative department level leadership and supervision, with keen ability to motivate and energize teams and individuals.
  • Possess department level budgeting and financial management skills, including contract writing.
  • Have experience with, and excitement for, cathartic organizational change.
  • Exemplify high standards of professionalism and communications.
  • Present a detailed working knowledge of, and have relative work experience in, providing person centered employment services for adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Exhibit an expert understanding of Employment Services Oregon Administrative Rules and contracting systems.
  • Be familiar with all aspects of Customized, Integrated, and Supported Employment, as well as Community Inclusion roles for the individuals PCL serves.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours to meet workload demand.
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or on the job equivalency.
